The Rev Dr Sebastiana Springmann
TThe Rev Dr Sebastiana G Springmann was ordained to the sacred order of deacons at the Cathedral Church of St Luke in Orlando on November 15, 2025, and to the sacred order of priests on May 16, 2026, at All Saints Church in Winter Park by the Rt Rev Dr Justin S Holcomb, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida. Many of her St James family were in attendance at both events.
Mother Sebastiana was called to the priesthood after a life spent serving others first as a Maxillofacial prosthetist in New York and then as a general and cosmetic dentist in Virginia. Episcopalians since 1984, the Lord led her and her husband Doug to relocate to Florida post global pandemic and pursue seminary studies. Though offered posting elsewhere she has chosen to remain at St James in a volunteer capacity serving as a Priest Associate for Pastoral Care and Spiritual Formation.

Born in Port Richmond district of Philadelphia, and baptized at St Mark's Episcopal Church. I started serving as an acolyte at Grace Episcopal church in Merchantville New Jersey. I have been active in ministry as circumstances permitted in my military carceer. I serverd in numeranous capacities in parishes including St Paul's Anglican Church in Athens Greece. I recieved the call to ordained ministry in 1987 after retiring from the military. I have served as Deacon in the dioceses of Central Florida and Southwest Florida. I came to St James in 2021 after my wife passed away.
