Young Adults Ministry
Lead By Sean and Lara Lahey
The young adult ministry is for approximate ages 18-30. It is a diverse group in many ways, but share the common
thread of facing unique challenges of this season of life. There is a home cooked meal and a Bible study on
Sunday nights at 6pm in the St Nicholas House. The Bible studies center on topics relevant to young adults.
Other events listed in the Messenger, throughout the year. The goal of the group - fun, food, fellowship, and faith.
Young Adult Group Begin New Study
St. James began a young adult Bible study group in 2026, spearheaded by Sean and Lara Lahey.
The group is open to people between 18 and 30 (ish) years of age. They meet on
Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm. Dinner is included.
There is no cost to participate.
On January 11, the group will begin their journey through the St. James Spiritual Formation Course. We offered this course to
the parish at large last Lent. It is a fun, interactive, and experiential approach to faith development.
Some of the topics up for discussion during the course are the nature of the relationship between God and His people,
the importance of prayer, the development of the Bible we have today, ministry and stewardship, how God’s people work together,
and how we can share our faith in a compelling, genuine way. We plan that the course will take six Sundays to complete.
We are excited to offer this opportunity for all young adults who might be interested, wherever they are on their spiritual development path.
